"So wonderful! I went to Mint Orthodontics. I had to get a quick fix and Carrie helped me, she was fantastic! She was very kind and did an excellent job. The facility was also very clean."- M.S. / Google / Nov 16, 2020
"Absolutely amazing customer service from the receptionists. One in particular was so friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. There were a few problems with the schedulers but other than that great experience. The area looked nice as well. I didn’t get my teeth worked on, just sat in the waiting room for my partner to get done but I enjoyed myself. They also have arcade machines but they’re down bc Covid 👎🏽 the orthodontics is pretty close to the main dentist as well so you don’t have to go far."- D.G. / Google / Aug 11, 2020
"A great dental practice - staff are all friendly and profesional and the dentist is very understanding for nervous patients like me."- R.C. / Google / Mar 07, 2020
Several factors will influence the alignment of your teeth: if you sucked your thumb as a child, hereditary traits, losing a tooth or several teeth, or an injury to your jaw. Misaligned teeth may cause other oral health problems, such as a bad bite (dental malocclusion), ground-down enamel, difficulty chewing and speaking, plus toothaches and TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder). If your dental team sees signs or symptoms of one of these issues at your annual examination, we might suggest Invisalign® treatment.
Invisalign® clear aligners are good for teens and adults who would like to improve their smile but without the appearance and hassle of metal orthodontics. Even though your aligners should be in at least 20 hours a day, Invisalign® clear aligners can be removed to brush your teeth and eat, plus for playing sports and special events. More discreet than traditional braces, most people won't know that you're wearing your Invisalign® clear aligners.
What Should i Expect?
Once we have created your treatment plan, your first Invisalign® clear aligners will be made from the digital x-rays taken at our office. Once they are sent to our office, we will contact you to get your first aligners and instructions from your dentist. You need to use your aligners every day for at least 20 hours for the treatment to work, with the goal of only taking them out to brush your teeth and eat. After about two weeks, you should switch to your second set of aligners so they can continue to shift your bite closer to proper alignment. You should plan to attend appointments as recommend by your dentist so we can check your progress and get more digital x-rays taken that will be sent to Invisalign® so they can make your new aligners. How long you will need to wear your aligners will depend on your starting bite and your specific goals. Most patients use Invisalign® clear aligners for an average of 10 – 18 months.
Now that you've transformed your smile with Invisalign® clear aligners, it is crucial to keep your teeth in place with a retainer while your gums and jaw adjust. You can keep your smile looking beautiful with a clear, discreet Vivera® retainer. Vivera® retainers are specially made to hold your teeth in place after you've completed your final set of aligning trays. Your Vivera® retainer will be specially made for you at the Invisalign® dental lab from digital x-rays taken at our office. We will tell you when to use your retainer and give you care instructions after it's returned to our office. Your orthodontist will continue to assess your alignment and bite during your yearly dental examinations to ensure they remain straight.
